Is nationalism good?

Nationalism is extreme pride in the history, culture and successes of one's nation. That means to have love for your own country and the belief that it is better than any other country. People who approve of nationalism insist that nationalism is necessary and good because it is natural. It leads people who live in your country to have the power of unity. But l think over-nationalism is too conservative in globalization. For example, 고종‘s father, 흥선대원군, insisted on the "closing-the country-policy" and failed to accept other countries cultures appropriately.

As a result, this persistence made Joseon's mordenization slow. Nationalism is extreme or fanatical patriotism. Of course, proper nationalism is sometimes fine. But over-nationalism is not good. So appropriate nationalism is important.

I'm Kim Go-Eun-Yi. My name is consists of 4 syllables, so it's a little bit special. When I was child, I hated that because people always asked me how to say my name. But now I like my name because it isn't normal. I'm 19 years old. I'm a 3rd grade student in Naju High School.

There are four people in my family. My parents are friendly and I have a lovely younger sister. My hobby is listening to music and reading books. I plan to read books about medical science and nursing during this winter vacation because my dream job is nurse. So I will study very hard (especially English!!!) l hope to go to the college that I want. I'm interested in nursing and services. I'd like to serve poor, sick people and children. I have another sister in Uganda. She is 6 years old. I have supported her since last year. Her name is NaMuDo-Josephine. I only saw her picture, so if given a chance, I would visit Uganda and really see her. I want to travel around the world and give medical care to the poor. But I'm worried about insects. l really, really hate bugs. I'm still a little girl that loves 2pm. But I'm convinced that I will overcome my problems and I will better myself for my future and dream.
